Price increase on Geely vehicles deferred until April

Press Release

Amid a flurry of price increase announcements by auto brands due to additional safeguard tariff on vehicle imports, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) announced today that they are deferring the price adjustments for its vehicles until April.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) had earlier announced the additional safeguard tariff on most vehicle imports in response to a petition seeking to save local vehicle assembly operations.

This prompted SGAP to inform the public of looming price adjustments on its Coolray, Azkarra, and Okavango models.

According to the SGAP, dealers still have enough inventory which are not yet covered by the DTI’s safeguard policy. This means, customers could still take advantage of the current Geely vehicle prices until the end of March.
