Highlights its 2023 collection

Rolex Philippines together with the Lucerne Group officially opened its newest Tudor boutique at the Solaire Resort Entertainment City and highlighted its 2023 collection. Held at the ground floor of The Shoppes wherein the luxury retail area of the entertainment complex is located, the simple opening ceremony was led by Lucerne Group’s managing director Emerson Yao and Rolex Centre Philippines general manager Brahim Drissi together with invited guest and the media.

One of the key highlights of the 2023 collection is the Tudor Pelagos FXD and FXD Chrono “Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition”. Tudor created this watch to celebrate the partnership with Alinghi Red Bull Racing. The two variants of the Pelagos FXD models are a chronograph and a time-only watch inspired by yacht racing. The watch case is made from carbon composite, titanium, and stainless steel and fitted with Manufacture Calibres, and Tudor says that these watches embody the daring spirit that is needed to be a contender in the most competitive yacht race in history.

The Pelagos FXD “Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition” models are considered several firsts for the brand. First, the long-term partnership between Tudor and Alinghi Red Bull Racing launched last year was the first time the brand ventured into the world of competitive yacht racing. The combination of tradition and heritage of this centuries-old sport can only be won by the most daring human spirit but equipped with the most cutting-edge technology. As such, these watches were created with the same philosophy in mind, by combining a high-tech carbon composite, which is also a first for Tudor, with titanium and stainless steel. Forged like an AC75 (America’s Cup 75) hydrofoil racing yacht. This is also the first time Tudor has integrated a chronograph Calibre into a fixed strap-bars case.

The other new Pelagos FXD variant is a tribute to decades of Tudor watches worn by US Navy divers. Using fixed strap bars, it has a titanium case and a high-performance Manufacture Calibre and a unidirectional elapsed-time rotating bezel, it comes as the ultimate modern “Milsub”.

Other watches in the collection include the Black Bay GMT, which comes with a new whimsical opaline dial and distinctive burgundy and blue bezel. Another highlight is the Tudor Royal which comes with an integrated metal bracelet, notched or diamond-set bezel and automatic movement and now comes with a Chocolate Brown and Salmon dial. Adding to the Black Bay line is the Black Bay 54, which many consider as the purest modern expression of the brand’s first-ever dive watch back in 1954 with Reference 7922. The Black Bay 54 is a nod to its predecessor with a 37-mm case and a Manufacture Calibre.
