Since time immemorial, man has been ever-evolving, learning, adapting and rising from the ashes of defeat. Recently, like humankind, Chinese carmaker, Chery Auto Philippines has again relaunched its brand with a new man at its helm.

Globally, Chery International has been China’s number one exporter of passenger vehicles for the past 20 years. This year, it has grown exponentially with a 170-percent increase, selling 394,000 vehicles during the first half, accumulating over 11.2 million owners through the years.

Locally, with its new managing director, the automaker is turning a new leaf, striving greater than ever as it aims toward the direction atop the local market.

In fact, during the recent launch of its Chery Tiggo 5x Pro Hybrid vehicle at the City of Dreams Manila in Parañaque City, company chairman, Rommel Sytin said, “With great pleasure and pride, I address you today, not just to launch our new hybrid vehicles, but also to share the new vision of the future.”

“Chery Auto Philippines begins a new era of change.”

According to him, they are embarking on a serious path in keeping the needs of their past, present and future customers at the core of everything they do.

“We are serious about giving our customers a competitive end-to-end Chery ownership experience. Since we recently started this new era of change for the brand, Chery Auto Philippines demonstrated sustained growth in terms of sales and business partnerships,” he continued.

In June, the company, as proof, achieved an all-time record in sales, surpassing its previous monthly best, selling over 300 units. With this, it even made it to the top 10 bestselling car brands, locally.

The achievement would not have been possible without the leadership of its new managing director, industry veteran, Froi Dytianquin, who has more than 30 years of fruitful automotive experience under his belt.

Since May this year, he has been traversing a new path for the company.

In an exclusive interview with Inquirer Mobility, he shared, “This is exciting since I’m more challenged to bring sales output to a higher level, where as before, there were only 200 monthly sales.”

“This May, we started with 300 units. We plan to double this in the coming months. Step up the sales output to 1,000 units per month,” he added.

Per Dytianquin, their vision is to further boost the growth of Chery by opening more dealerships across the country from its current 23 dealerships nationwide.

“You will begin to notice changes in the manner of our communications; also, in how we engage with our customers,” he stated.

“We shall also introduce vehicles which have cutting-edge technology while maintaining an affordable price point, developing and introducing new energy vehicles, shaping the future of Chery mobility.”

He further continued, “With our new slogan: ‘There’s more to our cars’, this statement speaks beyond the tagline. It represents a profound brand commitment. It signifies our promise to deliver, not just innovative and worldclass vehicles, but an unparalleled ownership experience.”

“Tonight is not just a product launch celebration but a relaunch of our brand.”
