AAP elects two new board members at 91st General Membership Meeting

The Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) elected two new board of trustee members, Robby Consunji and Bob Zozobrado, during its hybrid 91st Annual General Membership Meeting held on August 10, 2022 at Cinema One of Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons, Pasig City. The seven incumbent board members were reelected.

The elected members of the board for the year 2022-2023 are:

Augustus V. Ferreria – President
David L. Arcenas – Vice President, Admin Committee Chairperson
Augusto M. Cosio, Jr. – Treasurer, Finance Committee Chairperson
Augusto C. Lagman – Advocacy Committee Chairperson
Ricardo S. Guevara – Membership Services and Marketing Committee Chairperson
Jose Armando L. Eduque – Motor Sport Committee & Audit and Governance Committee Chairperson
Aida Sevilla-Mendoza – Publications & Public Relations Committee Chairperson
Roberto J. Consunji – Government Liaison Committee Chairperson
Roberto Zozobrado – Tourism & Mobility Committee Chairperson

Roberto “Robby” Consunji is the managing partner of Consunji & Bonifacio Law Offices.  He will chair AAP’s Government Liaison Committee.  Known to many as an off-road enthusiast and off-road editor and columnist of Top Gear PH, Consunji is one of the founding members, a trustee and president of the Land Rover Club of the Philippines. From 2004-2019, he was the country representative at the Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia.

Roberto “Bob” Zozobrado will chair the Tourism & Mobility Committee. His expertise in tourism comes from the different roles and positions he has held such as President and General Manager at IdeaZ, Marketing Consultant of the Macau Government Tourist Office, Acting Dean, College of International Tourism & Hospitality Management and Executive Director, Center for Career Services & Industry Relations at Lyceum of the Philippines University. From 1993 up to the present, he is a Marketing Consultant at Budget Travel and Tours.  Zozobrado also writes a regular column, “Mercury Rising,” in the Manila Standard.

AAP’s first hybrid general membership meeting was attended by a limited number of AAP members on-site while others watched online on the official AAP Facebook page. Voting was done electronically with email sent to AAP members. Strict health and safety protocols were followed throughout the event.
