This year, Foton Bacoor is up to a bright beginning as FOTON Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) bestowed the team with 2021’s highest dealer recognition, the Dealer of the Year Award, on the company’s first-ever virtual Dealer Appreciation ceremony held amidst the pandemic, the 2021 GRIT Awards.
“This cannot go unsaid, that this is the success of my team. The award is theirs more than it is ours, it is the culmination on their GRIT and its fitting the name of this awards night — this is an affirmation that this partnership between our group Alphamile and Foton Motor Philippines Inc. is here to stay” says Foton Bacoor Cavite Dealer Principal, Paul Tionson.
The Foton GRIT Awards puts the spotlight on dealer partners embodying the brand’s requisites for excellence—Guts, Resilience, Initiative, and Tenacity—whereas the initials gave the ceremony’s name.
“All members making up the Foton dealership network play a vital role in keeping our brand as one of the top nameplates in mind when it comes to the search for commercial vehicles—from our beloved Dealer Principals, to our ever-passionate Technical Personnel and Sales Executives. This is the time that we look back to their efforts, and reward them the recognition they deserve,” said Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) Erroll Dueñas.
Foton ended 2021 on a strong note by being recognized as one of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturer of the Philippines, Inc.‘s (or CAMPI’s) top 3 best-selling truck brands, garnering 2,867 units sold topped by its best-selling Foton Gratour MT series.
“Our dealer partners’ performance also serves a crucial phase for Foton to increase its record on Philippine market share. Our 16.73 percent sales growth vs. the previous year wouldn’t have been reached without their GRIT to empower the Filipino families and businesses,” noted Dueñas. The commercial vehicle brand steadily captured a broader market reach with fortified fleet partnership and a broader dealership network with a total of 24 branches to date. Foton Bacoor was recognized as the inaugural Foton GRIT Awards Dealer of the Year.
The award was received by Paul Tionson, Dealer Principal of Foton Bacoor.
