Harman Kardon brings premium car audio to PH aftermarket scene

Harman Kardon, a brand synonymous with high-end in-car sound systems, officially launched its aftermarket car audio line in the Philippines on May 7, 2025. Held at The Clubhouse At The Third in Greenmeadows, Pasig City, the event marked the brand’s debut in the local aftermarket segment — a move aimed at giving Filipino motorists access to its signature sound quality without the need for factory-fitted systems.

The exclusive launch gathered automotive industry leaders, car audio professionals, premium car clubs, and media representatives. Among the notable highlights were vehicles from Lexus, Toyota, BAIC, and BMW outfitted with Harman Kardon’s latest drop-in speaker systems. These installations showcased how easily and effectively the brand’s components can enhance a vehicle’s audio performance — without any structural modifications.

Executives from the participating automotive brands were present to witness firsthand how seamlessly Harman Kardon’s FLOW and FIT series speakers integrate into their vehicle platforms. Each demo vehicle was fitted with specific component setups tailored to their cabin acoustics, demonstrating the versatility and adaptability of Harman Kardon’s products.

The installations included:

  • BAIC B30 Dune: Flow 600CF speakers and Feel 700 underseat subwoofer.
  • BMW X5: A combination of Flow 600CF, Flow 300S, and Flow 80 subwoofers.
  • Lexus IS 300h: Fit 3F components, Flow 80 mid-bass, and Fit 6 rear speakers.
  • Toyota Fortuner: Flow 601CFS, Flow 300S, and multiple Flow and Feel subwoofers

A key appeal of Harman Kardon’s aftermarket solutions lies in their “drop-in” compatibility. These systems can be installed without cutting panels or making irreversible changes — a critical factor for owners of new or premium vehicles who are wary of voiding warranties or altering factory finishes. The result is a significant audio upgrade with none of the risks typically associated with aftermarket customization.

The FLOW Component Speaker System is engineered with Aluminum Deep Ceramic Composite (D.C.C.) cones and Harman’s patented Plus One technology, which increases cone area for improved clarity and sound detail. Meanwhile, the FIT series offers high-resolution audio using glass filter woofer cones and sustainable, post-consumer recycled materials — all while retaining Harman’s high acoustic standards.
