Toyota global sales hit record 5.6 million vehicles

Toyota Motor Corporation’s global sales have risen to 8.3 percent in April to September compared to the same period last year. Recently, unit sales have climbed to 5,596,183 vehicles thanks to robust demands and improving supply conditions. 

According to reports, global production in the fiscal first half grew 10 percent to a record 5,738,126 units. This number consists of subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co and Hino Motors Ltd. 

Toyota and Lexus sales rose 22 percent in Africa, the highest among all regions, followed by the Middle East (17 percent); North America ( 9.4 percent) and Europe (7 percent).  

The carmaker’s sales jumped 34 percent in Japan with the easing of chip supply issues.
