Mitsubishi 4-day expo commemorates 60 years while looking forward to the future

It was in 1963 when Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) first laid the foundations of its company. Eight administrations, 1.2 million cumulative unit sales and 800,000 production units after, it is one of the biggest carmakers the country has ever known.

Now, to commemorate this remarkable 60th-year milestone, MMPC is holding a four-day expo at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from August 10-13. The affair serves to celebrate its legacy though the years, while, at the same time, looking forward to the future ahead.

Mitsubishi classics

For 60 years, Mitsubishi and its cars have been a vital part of our lives, serving as transportation, business, and livelihood in various aspects of our society. Now, the company forges ahead, bringing along with them the values and culture of the Filipino through the years.

“We want to understand the heart and soul of the country more,” MMPC president, Takeshi Hara said during the opening ceremony of the four-day expo.

“Looking ahead, our future aspirations are greatly driven by our strong commitment for sustainability and innovation,” he added.

“These concept cars symbolize our environmental consciousness and advanced technology, preparing us toward the future of greener and smart mobility solutions for the Filipino.”

In fact, he even stated: “We are excited to announce that we will bring this pickup to the country very soon. And it will be called the all-new Triton.”
