Audi launches new 100% electric Q8 e-tron

Redefined with significant improvements, new benchmark-setting model drives Audi PH’s leadership in EV segment

Having spearheaded the premium electric SUV segment since its launch, the new 100% electric Audi Q8 e-tron arrives in the Philippines to further Audi’s unassailable EV (electric vehicle) leadership in the country.

The new Q8 e-tron redefines the original e-tron’s capabilities and features with crisper styling, better aerodynamics, faster charging times, and a higher battery capacity that increases the vehicle’s driving range.

Three models are now available locally; the Q8 e-tron 55 and Q8 e-tron 50 SUVs, and the Q8 e-tron Sportback that is a cross between a coupe and an SUV.

The Q8 e-tron 55 produces 408 hp and 664 Nm of torque. Depending on weather, road conditions, terrain, and driving styles, the model can travel up to 582 km when fully charged.

The new Audi Q8 e-tron 50 outputs 335 hp and 664 Nm, and has a driving range of up to 491 km when fully charged.

The new Audi Q8 e-tron Sportback has the same power and torque ratings as the Q8 e-tron SUV, but its driving range is longer because of its more aerodynamic shape. This model can travel up to 600 km when fully-charged.

With all three Q8 e-tron models, two electric motors power their front and rear axles. This means Audi’s legendary quattro all-wheel drive system continues, but in electric form.

What identifies the Q8 e-tron models (whether the SUV and the Sportback) are their new front and rear designs that follow Audi’s latest design language for the brand’s EVs. The Singleframe grille in front has been reshaped and is surrounded with softer elements. Other trim on the side and the rear have been updated as well. Plus, the models debut Audi’s new two-dimensional logo. In front, this logo is literally highlighted with a LED illumination.
