MANILA, Philippines — The Palace on Wednesday named Vigor D. Mendoza II as the new chief of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, Mendoza had also been a board member of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, according to the school’s website.
Mendoza is a former representative of the 1-United Transport Alliance Koalisyon (1-UTAK) partylist.
Mendoza replaces Jose Arturo Tugade, who resigned due to his disagreements with the Department of Transportation.
Other Palace appointees announced include the following:
- Department of Finance – Arturo Trinidad, Director II
- Department of Justice – Moises B. Tamayo, Director III
- Department of Energy – William Quinto, Director III
- Department of Labor and Employment – Jesus Elpidio B. Atal Jr, Director IV
- Department of Public Works and Highways – Joselito Caballero, Director III
