13,000-sqm Ford parts facility starts operation by next quarter

Ford Philippines recently announced it will begin operation of its 13,000-sqm parts warehouse by next quarter.

The said move will be part of its efforts to enhance the overall ownership experience of its customers.

The new facility, which is located in Laguna, can store up to 37,000 vehicle parts.

Company head honcho, Mike Breen, in a recent open discussion with the media, said that the reason behind the construction of a new parts warehouse is to address the challenges they have encountered in their prior facility.

“It was difficult to take parts,” he shared, implying that challenges were due to the significant growth of their vehicles in the country in recent years.

Breen also said that it is vital for them to set themselves up when it comes to parts and supplies capabilities.

“We want to ensure that we can not only take care of past customers where there is parts demand. But also ensure that we are prepared to support customers when it comes to new vehicles,” he said.

For the company, it does not only solve the challenges it encountered in its prior parts warehouse. It will likewise fix those it may possibly face in the coming years.

“It’s also setting ourselves up for future-proofing.”

“We’re more thinking about what we look like moving forward when it comes to Ford in the Philippines and the customer experience,” Breen continued.

Other than the said announcement, Ford Philippines also divulged that it is now offering a slew of products and services. This aims to build long-term customer trust and confidence.

This includes the “Express Service” in its dealership; “Pickup and Delivery”, wherein dealer service crew will pick up the vehicle from the customer for maintenance and bring it back after; and a mobile service vehicle for repairs on-the-go.
