Keeping the momentum of another banner year, Toyota Motor Philippines just recently launched the newest suite of connected services for its light commercial vehicle segment.
The country’s leading auto brand has rolled out its myTOYOTA Connect – a phone app which lets users check their vehicle status, driving information, as well as daily trip summaries – on the Hiace GL Grandia, Grandia Tourer, and Super Grandia variants which retailed this month of November.
The app has also been made available for the Toyota RAV4 last November 24.
“With myTOYOTA Connect, we are not just giving Toyota users the power to enjoy the best possible customer experience through access to life-changing innovations and practical information. We are also harnessing the power of data to continuously personalize and bring constant improvement in our level of service to our customers,” TMP president Atsuhiro Okamoto said.

These car models won’t be the last to get equipped with the myTOYOTA Connect, with more capable models set to be announced in the future.
Vehicle tracking is one of the app’s best features, allowing owners and users to check the last location of their vehicle.
The myTOYOTA Connect also comes with a geofencing feature that sets an alert once your vehicle enters or leaves a designated zone or boundaries the user has set.
The app is also a godsend for maintenance-conscious users, with the service giving on-the-dot reminders in relation to the actual mileage of the vehicle.
This feature allows users to schedule regular, hassle-free maintenance appointments, making it a breeze to book a service with the preferred dealership or service center.
This Toyota connected service also comes with the Connected Toyota Insure, the insurance feature of the app serviced by Toyota’s exclusive insurance provider, AXA Philippines.
This introduced the first pay-how-you-drive (PHYD) insurance product, which tracks good driving behavior and mileage to determine eligible drivers to have them benefit from reduced renewal premiums.
Toyota also said that this service feature provides security for users when it comes to quality repair services in case of accidents, with full insurance coverage allowing them to save through discount renewal rates based on their driving behavior.
This latest service roll out from Toyota follows the re-branding of its pre-owned cars program back in October, which marked another milestone for the automobile company.
Toyota rebranded its “Toyota Certified Used Vehicles Program”–which was launched 10 years ago- to “T-Sure,” implementing improvements in their 211-point inspection process and expansion of their vehicle financing coverage.
