Test drive the New Hyundai Creta and get the chance to be at the World Cup in Qatar

Charles Buban

The World Cup is where footballers come to showcase football in all its glamour. In each hosting of the World Cup, there is enough talent, thrill, trepidation, jubilation and despair to last us a lifetime. For any devotee, the paragon of any World Cup is the goals scored.

So what’s the greatest goal ever to have been scored? Was it Argentine Diego Maradona’s infamous “Hand of God” goal in 1986 vs England? Or was it Ronaldo’s two second-half goals to clinch Brazil’s fifth title in 2002?

Admittedly, all of these goals have earned their place in the history. But for Hyundai Motor, there’s a much bigger kind of goal to aspire for–the “Goal of the Century” (GOTC) that the South Korean automaker hopes to achieve in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The GOTC is the brand’s pledge that is part and in fulfillment of the company’s Carbon-Neutral Agenda 2045 to neutralize CO2 emissions at all stages of production and operation.

Harnessing the pure value of team spirit and togetherness created by the universal love of football, Hyundai Motor, with and through FIFA, is engaging with people all over the world towards one big goal.

Global sustainability

According to the company, this global sustainability campaign aims to unite the world in protecting the planet from climate change and preserving it for generations ahead.

Filipinos may be able to have the opportunity to participate in this goal just by test driving the New Creta sub-compact crossover SUV and be eligible to win an all-expense paid trip to Qatar to witness the FIFA World Cup.

According to Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH), interested participants only needed to test drive the New Creta at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) at the World Trade Center in Pasay City that concludes today, Sept. 18 or any of the 38 authorized Hyundai Motor outlets nationwide, until Sept. 30.

In order to qualify for the promo, participants must register at the brand’s official online registration page. A proof of completion with the vehicle will be required to be uploaded in the said page. Once completed, a digital coupon that serves as the raffle entry shall be sent within 24 hours from HMPH through the registered email address.

Only one raffle entry per individual will be granted regardless of the number of test drives.

Deadline of submissions is on Sept. 30, with the drawing of two winners taking place on Oct. 3.

The winner will be allowed to fly with one companion and enjoy two tickets to the Category 1 stage of the FIFA World Cup Tournament (4 matches), billet to a Deluxe Room for two at a five-star hotel in Doha for four days, and even enjoy a Qatar City tour.

The winner as well as his or her companion from the Philippines will be joined by the rest of the other winners–around 200–coming all over the world. As part of the itinerary, there will be a welcome lunch to be hosted by Hyundai Motor, slated to take place between Nov. 20 to Dec. 2.
