Parts of Ninoy Aquino Ave. closed from Aug. 19 – 22 for construction of new LRT-1 station

Portions of Ninoy Aquino Avenue will be closed to traffic from August 19 to August 22, due to the construction of the Ninoy Aquino Station of Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1), the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Thursday.

According to the DOTr advisory, both southbound and northbound lanes near the Imelda Bridge along Ninoy Aquino Avenue — which links Pasay City and Parañaque City, will be temporarily closed to traffic from 6 p.m. on Friday, August 19, until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 22.

The DOTr advised affected motorists to take the following alternate routes:

 Northbound:

  1. Right turn to Old Sucat Rd. (Front of SM Sucat ) C5 Extension Rd.  Multinational  Ninoy Aquino Ave. (Duty Free)
  2. Left Turn to Kabihasnan (Victor Medina St.)  Quirino Ave. or Cavitex Coastal Rd.
